The Ultimate Cherry Blossom Viewing Guide in Kyoto🌸 Kejo Railway & Philosophical Road

I shared Gion’s 🌸 before, it’s really beautiful! This time, let’s talk about #Kyoto’s perhaps a little niche #Keshang Railway & #Philosophy’s Road. It’s actually relatively close, so you can go together!

🌸 Kick on the railway
In fact, it is really an old railway, and now it is filled with Yoshino cherry blossoms on both sides. The railway is not very long and can be completed in about 10 minutes. The cherry blossoms paired with the railway really have a fresh Japanese feel!

But there were really a lot of people taking photos, and there were also quite a few people taking wedding photos. Although it looked very nice, it might be difficult to find a location.

📍Location: Keage "Keage Station" on the Tozai Subway Line

🌸 The Philosophical Path of Ginkakuji Temple
You can get there by bus from the railway station in about 20 minutes! This road was also shortlisted for the "Top 100 Roads in Japan"!

It is actually a small road between Ginkakuji Temple and Nanzenji Temple. Because a professor from Kyoto University often walked this road to think, it was named "Philosophical Road"!

The whole road is very long, it probably took us half an hour? It's very quiet. It's actually a residential area nearby, with a slowly flowing stream. There are many cherry blossoms planted along the road. Compared to other scenic spots, there are really fewer people! !

It is very suitable for taking pictures. There are really not many people, and it is really a Japanese residential area. There is no trace of commercialization. You can really feel the life of local Kyoto people. The roads you usually walk and the scenery you see are not too whitewashed. , very natural and everyday.

At the end, you can see Ginkakuji Temple! If you want to visit together, it is recommended to reserve more time!

📍Location: Take the Kyoto Bus and get off at "Ginkakuji Road"
🎫Tickets: Free
