The Kibune Shrine, located at the foot of Mount Kurama, is a little far from the center of Kyoto. You can choose to take the Eizan Railway to the Kibune-guchi station or take the Kyoto Bus to the Kibune station, which takes more than half an hour.
I heard that this shrine is quite old. Historical data shows that it was built 1,300 years ago. It has a long history. The stone steps of the shrine are matched with the spring lanterns on both sides. Wow, it is really beautiful and very Japanese. It was drizzling when we went there, which was really appropriate because Kifune Shrine is used to worship the water god.
In addition to sightseeing and taking photos, I also asked for a water fortune. The fortune will appear when seeing water. It is simply "water-seeing style" 🤭. It's fun and you must try it!
