Kifune Shrine is located in the mountains with a river flowing next to it, so it is surrounded by beautiful nature.
Because it enshrines the god of water, the name of the shrine is pronounced "Kifune" rather than "Kibune".
Kifune Shrine is said to be the birthplace of votive plaques. Also, because it is the god of water, they sell amulets in the shape of lures for anglers. If you go fishing, be sure to check!
Kifune Shrine has very few parking lots. We recommend that you check the location of the parking lot in advance before visiting. Be especially careful on weekends and holidays!
