Fushimi Inari Taisha is one of Kyoto's most popular shrines.
Its Senbon Torii gates are especially popular.
As the head shrine of all Inari shrines, there is no other place with such a row of vermilion torii gates.
That's why it attracts so many people as a photogenic spot!
Further ahead is the Okusha Hohaisho (Okusha Worship Hall).
The Okusha Hohaisho is where you can pay homage to Mount Inari, and Mikkamine is located behind the main shrine building. For this reason, we recommend you take the time to go around to the back of the main shrine building.
And here you can find the famous "Omokaru Stone"!
