It is said that the number of stones in the white sand dry landscape garden of Ryoanji looks different depending on the viewing angle, so visitors moved to different places and counted the number of stones from each direction.

Beautiful sand patterns have been created in the white sand.

Since dry landscape gardens have no water, the flow of water is expressed using sand, and the patterns and arrangement of the stones give a unique elegance of Japanese gardens.

The rock garden of Ryoanji, a World Heritage Site, is called the Banjo Garden, and there are also other things such as a stone basin called a chozubachi, and the dragon paintings on the 40 sliding doors of the main hall (Banjo) are called Unryu-zu, and are impressive and wonderful.

There are also many calligraphy and hanging scrolls on display.
