I personally pay more attention to the local culture, so when choosing a kimono, I also asked the boss to understand the difference between each type of kimono. 🤣
The boss said that many customers who just want to look beautiful will rent visiting kimonos/furisode, but in fact, visiting kimonos in Japan are worn by older mothers who already have children to attend events, and furisode is usually worn by unmarried women during major events in life, such as coming-of-age ceremonies and weddings! Both of these are extremely hot with 3 layers, so Japanese people don’t wear them in summer!
It was very hot in Kyoto this time in July, so I picked a 1.5-layer silk kimono, which is more fashionable and not that hot to wear!
I recommend Wazuki, which speaks Cantonese, Mandarin, English, Japanese and Korean ☺️ The kimono is returned before 5pm. I arrived at around 11pm and wore it for about 4 hours. I was at the foot of Kiyomizu-dera Temple!
