This time we will be introducing Rokuharamitsu-ji Temple.
Rokuharamitsu-ji Temple has appeared on television and in novels as the base of the Taira clan, and is also the 17th temple of the Thirty-Three Temples of the Western Provinces.
It is also famous as the temple that enshrines the statue of Kuya Shonin, from whose mouth a Buddha emerges. The statue is housed on the second floor of the newly opened Reiwakan building to the west of the main hall. Although this temple is compact, it has many spots for bringing good fortune and benefits, such as the "Ichigan-ishi" (one wish stone), which is said to grant one wish, the "Nade-ushi" (rubbing cow), which is said to heal painful or difficult parts of the body when rubbed, and the "Zeniarai Benzaiten" (powerful goddess of war), which is said to improve financial luck, so be sure to check it out!
