Jojakkoji Temple

Jojakkoji Temple
Located on the slope of a hill in the suburbs of Kyoto,
such as Arashiyama area.

This temple was built around 1596.
The temple itself is not very large and looks simple.
In autumn, it is full of maple trees that change color.
Both the walkway and stairs leading to the temple grounds
It is a temple with a peaceful natural atmosphere.

Inside the temple, there is an important landmark, the "Taho-to Pagoda"
A culturally significant building of the temple
and is also important to the Nichirenzu sect of Buddhism.
