Kiyomizu-dera Temple

Kiyomizu-dera Temple, famous for its 'Kiyomizu Stage,' is one of the temples registered as a World Heritage Site under the 'Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto.'

In addition to the main hall with the stage, there are other notable spots such as the Nio-mon Gate, the Three-storied Pagoda, and the Otowa Waterfall. It is a representative tourist destination of Kyoto.

Boasting a history of about 1200 years, this temple is recognized as a World Heritage Site. Within the precincts, you will find the main hall, which is the origin of the phrase 'to jump off the stage at Kiyomizu,' as well as national treasures and important cultural properties like the Three-storied Pagoda.

Other attractions include the Otowa Waterfall, believed to bring good fortune in love, and Zuigudo Hall, famous for its Tainai Meguri (a spiritual journey through the womb).
