Autumn in Kyoto

#0 yen trip November

Official name: Kamo Mioya Shrine

Or Shimogamo Shrine

Address: 59 Shimogamo Izumikawa-cho, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture 606-0807

Access: Bus → Kyoto Station to Shimogamo Shrine (or Tadasu no Mori) for about 30 minutes

Tourist attractions: I visited in late October, and there were some trees that were starting to turn red🍁, so you can feel the season while walking around the large grounds.

It was such a natural place that I would like to come again when the whole shrine is red.

There is also Kawai Shrine, which is worshiped as the guardian deity of women of the sub-shrines.

Inoue Shrine (Mitarai Shrine), where you can do water fortune-telling. This is said to be the birthplace of mitarashi dango, and the souvenir shop sells cute designs such as memo pads with mitarashi dango motifs.

What I personally found interesting was the wonderful Koto Shrine, which is worshiped as the guardian deity of the zodiac.
The shrines are roughly divided into two groups according to the zodiac signs,
and it was my first time to visit the shrine for my zodiac sign, so I thought it was interesting :)
Next time, I'd like to come back when the leaves have turned beautiful red.
