Itinerary tips:
Depart from Kyoto -> Get off at Mahori Station -> Sagano Train (Kameoka - Arashiyama)
-> Bamboo Forest Trail-> Nonomiya Shrine-> Tenryuji Temple-> Arashiyama Shopping Street-> Togetsukyo Bridge-
>Arashiyama Hankyu Line back to the city
Tips for choosing seats to enjoy the scenery: When departing from Kameoka, remember to choose "even-numbered A/D"; when departing from Arashiyama, choose "odd-numbered A/D". Carriage 5 is the most popular transparent car. Remember to purchase tickets and choose seats on the official website one month in advance.
There will be a sign to the bamboo forest trail when you exit Saga Arashiyama Station🎋👘
There are a lot of people, so if you want to make a film, you have to go a little further inside. There will be times when there are fewer people, but basically you still have to do post-production.
This walk takes about 10 minutes (additional time for taking photos)
When you exit the bamboo forest, you will reach the commercial street. To be honest, it is not very fun to shop.
Go straight to Arabica % I suggest you try the Kyoto latte
(Photos by the river are also very good)
For dinner, I recommend Kameyamaya, which is a bit like a family business. The environment of the restaurant is nostalgic Japanese style, the price is very affordable and the taste is great! The second floor has tatami and air conditioning, and you can see the mountain and river views. It is definitely cheaper than the restaurants in the shopping street, and the food is delicious and the pictures are great! ! The disadvantage of being too close to nature is that the toilet is smelly.
