The pizza from the hotel's Western restaurant was a delightful surprise, a welcome change from noodles and sushi! Electric bicycles are available for guests, perfect for exploring Kyoto.

Several highly recommended restaurants are located near the hotel. A short distance away, Bankyu-rou Japanese Restaurant offers delicacies like sea cucumber with salmon roe and simmered shrimp, definitely worth trying. For dessert lovers, Nakamura's white miso *zoni* is a must. You can also try the famous burdock and radish soup at Ogata. These restaurants promise unforgettable culinary experiences.

Of course, no place is perfect, and Hotel Kanra Kyoto is no exception. Coffee isn't available before 7 am, which might be a minor inconvenience for some. Housekeeping requires a request at the front desk, but the staff are happy to assist and incredibly friendly.
