#cherryblossom25
Named after philosopher Nishida Kitaro, who meditated here daily, this 2km stone path along a canal in Kyoto’s Higashiyama district becomes a tunnel of pink every spring. Lined with 500+ somei-yoshino cherry trees, it’s where petals drift like thoughts onto the water—a living metaphor for transience.
🌸Why It’s Legendary
✔ Hanami High Culture– Follow in the footsteps of Nobel laureate Yasunari Kawabata and other literati
✔ Temple Connections – Links Ginkaku-ji (Silver Pavilion) to Nanzen-ji, with smaller shrines en route
