
The Yongjia Academy Scenic Area is located in the core area of the National AAAA-rated Nanxi River Scenic Area. Covering 5,000 mu (approximately 1,000 acres), it is a large-scale complex integrating sightseeing, leisure and vacation, art exchange, and education and training. It is a key cultural park in Zhejiang Province.
Yongjia Academy, built on the culmination of its era, draws upon the Yongjia School of Thought and the culture of commerce to create a modern academy that is both noble and simple, rich in cultural connotations and spiritual appeal. The scenic area is dotted with ancient villages, including Yuzhang Village, known for its family of six successful Jinshi scholars; Bilian Village, descendants of Liu Ji; Baiquan Village, renowned for its outstanding people and beautiful scenery; Mingao Village, a photography hotspot; and Taozhukeng Village, the site of Fan Li and Xi Shi's secluded residence. The area boasts a rich cultural heritage.
Yongjia is a land of mountains and rivers, as the saying goes: "70% mountains, 20% water, and 10% farmland." The average annual rainfall is 1,705.5 mm. Yongjia boasts beautiful scenery and abundant resources. The Nanxi River National 4A-level Scenic Area, known as "The World's No. 1 River," is renowned for its picturesque waters, unique rock formations, numerous waterfalls, ancient villages, and picturesque beaches and forests. The 300-kilometer-long Nanxi River flows with pristine, crystal-clear water, and is bathed in verdant peaks and lush forests on both sides, creating a breathtaking experience that will leave you wanting to linger. The scenic area boasts lush vegetation and is free of industrial pollution. Its surface waters remain pristine, exceeding the national standard for first-class surface water purity.

Yongjia Academy is a historic Confucian academy established during the Song Dynasty, renowned for its role in promoting education, Confucian thought, and scholarly culture in the Wenzhou region.
