This year’s sakura season in Kyoto kept us all guessing 🎢🌸 — with the colder weather causing multiple delays!
But guess what? I managed to catch some hidden gems at their absolute best — and it turned out to be such a lovely surprise! 🌟💖

📍 Kyoto Imperial Palace Park (Kyoto Gyoen) 🌸
Enter from the Marutamachi Gate and walk about 5 minutes to find a huge, majestic weeping cherry tree! 😍🌸

Keep walking north toward the Imadegawa Gate — there's another beautiful patch of sakura blooming away! 🌸✨

📍Kyoto Cultural Association (京都文化協会) 🎨🌸
A hidden spot bursting with cherry blossoms!
Perfect for dreamy, photogenic shots 📸✨

📍 Rokkakudo Temple (六角堂) ☕🌸
A cozy little courtyard where the weeping cherries are nearly at full bloom!
Bonus: there are two adorable cafés next door — perfect for sipping coffee while sakura-watching! ☕🌸

📍 Honmanji Temple (本満寺) 🌸✨
Just a 10-minute walk from Imadegawa Gate! 🚶♀️🌸
Home to a century-old weeping cherry tree, already about 70% in bloom — should be fully open any moment now!

📍 Omuro River (御室川) 🌸🏡
Stunning riverside cherry blossoms! 🌸🏞️
(Location: near Ritsumeikan University International House Tokiwa; get off at Narutaki Station or Hanazono Station and walk!)
