The Ace Hotel Kyoto is seriously a glorious trap – once you're in, you won't want to step outside!

This place is bursting with design and music everywhere you look (it's a collaboration with Kengo Kuma, no less!). The moment I saw the vinyl player in my room, I immediately wanted to grab some beer downstairs and come back up to dance! The attention to detail and the quality of everything in the room, especially the use of lighting and light, create such a comfortable atmosphere you just won't want to leave.

Honestly, it was the biggest "drag" on my Kyoto trip because I loved staying in so much! 😂

For Music Lovers: Head down to the lobby! There's a big cabinet full of vinyl records for you to choose from and bring back to your room. Get ready to spin some tunes! 🎶
Tokyo Bike Partnership: The lobby also has bicycles from their collaboration with Tokyo Bike that you can rent daily. Try to grab one before 8 AM or after 4 PM, as it's less busy then. 🚲
Special Robes: The bathrobes are a special Kyoto edition from their long-time collaborating brand, wings+horns – super comfy to wear!
Local Recommendations: In the lobby, you'll also find a hand-drawn map with staff's favorite local eateries and bars. It's really interesting and gives you a genuine local insight! 🍜🍻
