【Kyoto trip in 2025】

I visited Kyoto but in just ONE day. But I could quite enjoy there:) I’ll list places I went there and how I liked it!

1. Kinkakuji
As you can tell, it’s a temple that’s covered by GOLD ✨✨✨🏯
I’ve seen this temple on my textbooks for my entire life, but never had a chance to see it in person. So I’m very glad that I could see it in real time on this trip. It’s a very significant building in Kyoto and Japan, so it’s totally worth it to go there. Especially for those who like history which I’m not lol but I still enjoyed :)

2. Toriiwaro
Let me tell you this, they only have ONE thing on the menu, actually they don’t even have a menu. They have Oyakodon which is a Japanese soul food. It was very tasty and the price was not bad at all. ¥1000
Also inside of the restaurant was old Japanese house style and it’ll give you a calm Japan vibe.
★★★★☆

3. Yasaka Shrine
It was a cool and looking very old and beautiful shrine. It’s definitely a cool place to visit however there wasn’t that much things to do there so you don’t need to put it in your priority.
★★★☆☆

4. Kagizen Yoshifusa
it’s a very famous traditional Japanese desserts cafe. They have sweets, teas and macha 🍵
what I got from there is something called kuzukiri which is like jello noodle and you dip it in cane sugar. It may sound too simple but it tasted absolutely amazing after walking all day under the HOT sun. It was a great treat for me 😋🧊
They also sell sweets for souvenir as well. They have beautiful Japanese desserts.
★★★★★

5. Arashiyama
It was the coolest bamboo I’ve ever seen. First of all, it was my first time seeing that much of bamboo 🎋
The shades that the bamboo make was just so amazing and every view was beautiful. I would love to go there again✨✨
