Kyoto
˗ˏˋ Shiunzan Chohoji Templeˎˊ˗
Shiunzan Chohoji Temple, known for its hexagonal hall, is considered the birthplace of ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement).
The hexagonal architecture of the main hall is a rare design even in Kyoto. Inside, the statue of Nyoirin Kannon is enshrined.
In spring, the cherry blossoms are stunning, and you can enjoy the view while sipping coffee from the Starbucks located in the adjacent building 🌸.
The temple grounds also feature the "Heso Stone," which marks the center of Kyoto (the city's reference point).
The dove-shaped omikuji (fortune slips) are popular and often shared on social media.
Be sure to visit this unique spot during your Kyoto trip.
