I stayed at OMO5 Kyoto Sanjo by Hoshino Resorts in the Furoshiki Room, which is limited to one room per day.
The address is 434-1 Ebisu-cho, Kawaramachi-dori Sanjo-agaru, Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto City, and it's conveniently located about a 2-minute walk from Kyoto City Hall Station and a 5-minute walk from Keihan Sanjo Station.
Check-in is at 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 11:00 AM.
The guest room is equipped with basic amenities such as a TV, refrigerator, hair dryer, and Wi-Fi. The ceiling, walls, and cushion covers are decorated with colorful furoshiki cloths, creating a unique atmosphere.
During your stay, you can also enjoy crafts such as making tin badges using furoshiki scraps, creating original items to take home as mementos.
You can also enjoy tea time with a Japanese sweets set wrapped in a furoshiki, making your entire stay even more special.
The hotel also has an OMO Base, which serves as a convenient base for exploring the city.
For me, staying in the furoshiki room and making tin badges was an experience that allowed me to feel closer to Kyoto's traditional culture.
With a full range of activities available, such as walking tours of the city, this is an inn that allows you to enjoy Kyoto on an even deeper level.
