👋Ohayo from Kyoto, Japan🇯🇵
Take the bright purple Renden train from Omiya to Arashiyama Station, then walk a short distance to Togetsukyo Bridge.
This bridge spans the Oi River (also known as the Hozu River) and offers a stunning backdrop of the Arashiyama mountains.
Togetsukyo Bridge was originally built during the Heian period (approximately 794–1185) and was renovated in 1934. It is one of the oldest bridges in Japan.
"Togetsukyo" means "Moon Crossing Bridge." The surrounding area is dotted with temples, shrines, bamboo groves, and nature trails.
