My Dream Treehouse Island Getaway at Le Pirate Island, Komodo! 🌴🌊

I found my absolute dream treehouse island in Komodo, Indonesia! Le Pirate Island is a private resort located on an outer island in the Komodo archipelago. With only 30 rooms on the entire island, it offers an incredibly exclusive experience. Staying in a treehouse, lounging on the beach, and having a whole "jelly sea" to myself truly gave me a resort experience that rivals the Maldives, but for just 500 RMB a night!

Getting There and Away

On my check-in day, I gathered at the Le Pirate Island & Cruises Office in Labuan Bajo town (Komodo) at 9:30 AM. The boat departed at 10:00 AM, arriving at the island about an hour later. For departure, the boat left the island at 2:00 PM and arrived back at the pier by 3:00 PM.

Accommodation: Treehouse vs. Beach Hut

The resort offers two types of accommodation: treehouses and beach huts.

The treehouses are more rustic and come with shared bathrooms, but I found the common facilities to be very well-maintained and clean.

The beach huts are a bit pricier and offer more complete facilities, including private bathrooms.

I opted for the more unique treehouse experience. My treehouse had a fan by the bed and charging sockets (remember to bring a travel adapter!). Below the treehouse, there were lounge chairs facing the ocean, perfect for enjoying the cool sea breeze. It only got a bit warm around midday.

Dining & Activities

The hotel stay includes breakfast. Once on the island, you can purchase an Island Club Package for 150 RMB per person per day. This package covers lunch, a three-course dinner, snorkeling equipment, and kayaking. It's a great way to enjoy everything the island has to offer without worrying about extra costs.
