[This is India's hidden gem] Stay at Pangong Lake at an altitude of 4,300m

-✈️Things to do in Pangong Tso, Ladakh-

⭐️Silent and peaceful, do nothing surrounded by magnificent nature.
⭐️Simply soothe yourself with the utterly beautiful nature and the simple, warm locals.
⭐️If you're traveling in India and tired of the hustle and bustle, Ladakh is the place to be.
⭐️The area around Ladakh is rich in Tibetan culture, so you can enjoy Tibetan cuisine and temples.
⭐️The final setting of the Indian film "3 Idiots."
⭐️Wild marmots, horses, and yaks can be found along the way.

-🚗Access-

・It's about a 4-5 hour drive from the city of Ladakh.
There were cheap shared buses available, but we chartered a tourist taxi in the town of Leh.
(Since this was my first time at such an altitude, I opted for peace of mind over price. Reservations are required for taxis.)

- There were three parking and accommodation options on-site, but the taxi driver recommended the furthest spot, which was close to the lake and quiet, so we stayed in a homestay-style accommodation. It was a great decision! 👏
If you've come this far, I highly recommend staying overnight.

It was quite rustic, but the people were warm and I truly felt how rich the place was. 🌝

-🪄Points to Note-

• I went in late August, and the temperature difference was quite large, so it's a good idea to bring a down jacket or other warm-weather gear, and sunglasses to protect from the strong sun. 🌞

• I took altitude sickness medication beforehand, and since it was quite dry, throat lozenges I bought at the pharmacy in town were very useful.

- Because the area is near the Chinese border, a permit is required in Leh (city).
Tourist agencies can issue permits, but make sure you get one the day before!
