50 shades of blue

Seeing Pangong Lake was part of my road trip around Ladakh, and even though I only stayed about an hour because of the cold, it was completely worth it. That unreal blue water is the first thing you notice - way more vivid than in pictures. The wind made it feel even colder than the rest of Ladakh, so I kept moving just to stay warm.

I walked along the shore for a while, skipping stones and watching how the water changed from deep blue to turquoise in the sunlight. There were a few other tourists around, but mostly it felt peaceful and huge. My hands got numb pretty fast even with gloves, so I didn't stay as long as I wanted.

But that short visit was enough to understand why this place is special. That bright blue water surrounded by barren mountains stays with you. I took some photos, warmed up with tea from a small stall, and headed back to the car. Quick stop, but definitely one of the most memorable parts of my Ladakh trip.
