1.8km private beach in FS LGK, anyone?

Situated within the UNESCO World Geopark, The Four Seasons Langkawi is a great property for those seeking a resort getaway.

I had the opportunity to experience FS hospitality last week. Was considering this few times since the cheapest rate is more than MYR1000/night. Luckily with the help of ‘hotel expert’ who’s running “hotelvoucher” on Carousell, I managed to get a good rate.

The resort is flanked by a tropical rainforest and the emerald waters of Andaman Sea. Set in incredibly 48-acres of lush beachfront gardens, this Malay-style pavilions and villas offer quite and romantic havens especially for lovebirds.

Perhaps best of all, guests have access to the hotel’s 1.8km private beach (best spot for sunset and one of the most beautiful beaches along the coast). I’d consider this is something special and prestigious place to be because public are not allowed in. Due to low season, we were the only guests sitting on the beach enjoying sunset.

Resort amenities are top notch — a unique house in the sea called ‘Rumah Ikan’ where generations old methods are used to catch fish from Andaman Sea ; two separate sea facing pool areas — an adults-only section at one end and the family pool at another end. 4 dining outlets namely Ikan-Ikan, Serai, Kelapa Grill and Rhu Bar.

You’re also a short drive to some of the most beautiful sites namely Tanjung Rhu and Kilim.

Tips based on my stay :

1. Your rented car can be parked at the designated area inside the resort. Then you have to use buggy or walk to your villa.
2. Complimentary bicycle is provided for the entire stay to explore the resort. Pick up your bicycle at the gym.
3. If you intend to explore Kilim Geopark Mangrove & Eagle Safari, local operators offer cheaper rate compared to hotel concierge
4. Room only rate offers better option than Bed & Breakfast. Local restaurants serving good breakfast within 5 mins drive.
