Dayang Bunting Island - Langkawi, Malaysia

The direct translation of Pula Dayang Bunting is
"Pregnant Maiden Island" in English. From a distance you can see that the island is in the shape of a sleeping pregnant lady. Locals believe that those who has difficulties conceiving should drink from the lake on the island.

The island is quite big (more than 13 km long), it is the second largest in the entire Langkawi archipelago. There is a geopark and a beautiful lake on the territory of the island, it can be explored for more than one day. I visited this island as a part of island hopping tour, so I didn’t have enough time to explore but I still enjoyed this gorgeous island.
