Kampung Style

Kunang-Kunang (Malay for fireflies) is a collection of 20 individual uniquely vintage wooden Malay houses. The houses were collected from the different states in Malaysia with the oldest house being over 200 years old whilst the youngest is just over a century old. At Kunang Kunang we offer the warmth of the Malay culture with the service of an intimate boutique resort with an all-day dining restaurant with buffet styled breakfast. Most of our Villas have an open concept bathroom allowing our guests to always be able to enjoy the tropical sun in the privacy of their own villas. The design of our resort seamlessly incorporates the old with the new, built within the surrounding natural beauty is as our French designed floating pool placed in a lake is the first of its kind in Malaysia. Kunang-Kunang invites you here in appreciation of what was and is the Malay cultural heritage living.
