A 4-star hotel in Cebu for less than 1,000 TWD per night!

During this trip to Cebu, I chose to stay at EGI Hotel, located on Mactan Island, about a 20-minute drive from the airport. The location is quite convenient, with supermarkets and small restaurants nearby, making it easy to stock up or find a place to eat.

📌 Room and Amenities

The room was more spacious than expected, with clean bedding and strong air conditioning, making it very comfortable to sleep. Although the decor is a bit dated and lacks the luxurious feel of a resort, the basic facilities are complete, including stable hot water and a small balcony for enjoying the breeze. Some room types even offer direct sea views, creating a vacation vibe the moment you open the curtains in the morning.

📌 Public Spaces

The hotel features several swimming pools, perfect for sunbathing or relaxing in the water during the day. If you don’t feel like venturing far, you can easily spend a leisurely day within the hotel. Breakfast includes a simple mix of Filipino and Western options, such as grilled meat with rice, omelets, toast, and fruit. While the selection isn’t extensive, the taste is quite good.

📌 Service and Transportation

The staff are very friendly and do their best to assist when needed. The hotel is slightly far from the city center, but if your main plans involve island hopping, diving, or relaxing by the sea, the location is quite suitable.

📌 Overall Impression

Overall, EGI Hotel is more of a budget-friendly, clean, and comfortable choice. It’s not a luxurious resort, but it’s ideal for those with a limited budget who prefer to spend more on activities and excursions. The environment is relaxed and cozy, offering a good place to rest with a touch of vacation atmosphere.
