Things to Know Before Going to Bipenggou, Chengdu

I have read many reviews from other people about Bipenggou and I just went there. So I would like to recommend some things you should know before going so that you can prepare yourself (mentally) before going to Bipenggou.
- Traveling from Chengdu will take about 3.5-4 hours. Renting a car may not take you any faster because there is a speed limit along the way. Therefore, the time to get there is not much different.
- When you arrive, you will not see any snow. You have to exchange your ticket first and take the park bus up the mountain for about 40 minutes (the road is very winding. I recommend taking motion sickness pills because you will have altitude sickness up there. Otherwise, you will be confused).
- I do not recommend sleeping on the bus because when you get there, you will feel even more dizzy.
- The bus may stop at a lake along the way so you can get off and take pictures (depending on the weather).
- At the top where the bus stops, there is a restaurant, bathroom, infirmary, and a ticket booth for electric golf carts to go to the next point. Opposite the golf cart, there is a walking path. It is very beautiful. The snow is thick and fluffy. It is easy to take pictures. There are not many people walking there. Because they are heading up
- When you get to this point, altitude sickness starts to work. Our group has ranged from severe altitude sickness that makes you tired just sitting, dizzy, mild altitude sickness like walking a lot and getting tired, sitting and resting to breathing in oxygen, not allergic at all, walking leisurely, comfortable. Symptoms of each person depend on their age (under 7, over 60 may be more allergic). People who exercise regularly will be very relaxed.
- The golf cart takes 15 minutes to the next point, the road is winding as before. At this point, there is a waterfall, a snowmobile area, a restroom, a shop, and a ticket booth to the upper floor (the upper floor has a wide-angle mountain view, great for taking beautiful pictures).
- Even though it takes a long time to travel, we still think that a one-day trip from Chengdu is okay if our body and mind are ready. (We chose a one-day trip because we thought that if we have altitude sickness, we would have to endure it a bit. We would return to Chengdu in the evening, lol.)
- We went on a weekday, staying up there for 4 hours was enough.
