High-speed rail direct access! This seaside town in Jiangsu is seriously underrated, so beautiful it looks like it’s been “filtered”!

I really discovered a hidden gem, a niche treasure. The water here is clear and the sand white, seafood is abundant, the mountains and sea are romantic, and you can forget about the return date. Three days flew by in a flash, leaving endless aftertaste!
Day 1: Yuntai Mountain & Old Street
Yuntai Mountain by the sea: My hat was blown off by the sea breeze on the glass viewing platform! But overlooking Liandao Island looked like emeralds on blue velvet, cargo ships turned into toy boats, totally worth it!
Lianyungang Old Street: Snacking on sour and spicy cold noodles while strolling through Republic of China-era buildings, taking photos with old locomotives at the railway museum. A friend sharply commented, "Feels like being a warlord in Vietnam."
Homestay rooftop: Watching the harbor lights while drinking beer, listening to a neighbor’s off-key guitar version of "Blue Lotus"—both addictive and romantic.
Day 2: Mocked by monkeys at Huaguo Mountain
Water Curtain Cave: Got drenched passing through the "artificial waterfall," the cave was simple, I want to crowdfund renovations for Sun Wukong!
Monkey area social death: Witnessed a monkey opening a tourist’s backpack to grab chips! After my banana was snatched, it even raised an eyebrow at me! (Human dignity shattered)
Day 3: Museum & Liandao Island
Song Dynasty porcelain monkey made me cry from cuteness: Much more civilized than real monkeys!
Salt River Alley feat: Watching others swallow bean larvae (green worms) with eyes closed, their souls seemed to leave their bodies... I dare say, even if you sang "Courage" beside me, I wouldn’t dare eat it.
Liandao healing moments:
Barefoot chasing waves at Suma Bay’s glassy sea;
Finding little crabs in rock crevices, releasing them only to have one pinch my finger in "farewell";
Writing big characters on the beach only to have the waves wash them away—happiness as simple as a child’s!
The grandeur of Yuntai Mountain, the lively atmosphere of Old Street, the disdain of the monkeys, the laughter of the waves on Liandao Island—all vividly etched into my memory!
