Ticket Discount for Libo Xiaoqikong Scenic Area

As a Guangxi resident, I was thrilled to learn about the half-price ticket discount at Libo Xiaoqikong! From March 20 - April 30, 2025, you can enjoy this benefit with a valid ID. The original ticket price of CNY 120 is now only CNY 60, plus CNY 40 for the shuttle bus and CNY 10 for insurance - making it an incredible value!

Stepping into the scenic area feels like entering a paradise. The landscape here is like a masterpiece carefully carved by nature, breathtakingly beautiful. Walking along the winding path, you'll see crystal-clear water flowing gently, with stones and water plants visible at the bottom, as if you can touch the traces of time. The waterfalls are perfectly arranged - some magnificent, others gentle and delicate - creating nature's symphony with their splashing waters. Breathing in the fresh air and feeling the gentle breeze, all fatigue and worries instantly disappear. Here's a travel guide:

Preparation

• Ticket booking: Book in advance through major travel platforms or the scenic area's official WeChat account. The half-price discount is available online, helping you avoid queues during peak seasons.

• What to bring: Comfortable walking shoes; sun protection items like sunscreen, sun hats, and sunglasses as the area has strong sunlight; rain gear as Guizhou weather can be unpredictable; power bank to keep your devices charged for photos.

Tour Routes

• West Gate Route (Recommended): Enter through the west gate and take the shuttle to Wolong Pool first to admire the sapphire-like lake and spectacular waterfall. Next, visit Cuigu Waterfall to experience its unique charm. You can then opt for a boat ride at Mandarin Duck Lake (separate ticket required). Take the shuttle to Stone Forest Station and walk the trail to see the 68-Level Waterfall, Laya Waterfall, and finally reach the Xiaoqikong Ancient Bridge. After visiting this iconic spot, take the shuttle back to the west gate. This downhill route is relatively easy.

• East Gate Route: Enter through the east gate and take the shuttle to Xiaoqikong Ancient Bridge, then work your way upstream to visit Laya Waterfall, 68-Level Waterfall, Stone Forest, Cuigu Waterfall, Mandarin Duck Lake (optional), and Wolong Pool. Exit from the west gate by shuttle. This uphill route requires more stamina but offers different waterfall views and helps avoid crowds.

Must-Visit Spots

• Wolong Pool: The lake shimmers like a giant sapphire nestled in the mountains, with sparkling waters under the sunlight and majestic waterfalls.

• Cuigu Waterfall: The waterfall cascades down the mountainside surrounded by lush vegetation, creating a perfect "green mountains and clear waters" scene ideal for photos.

• Xiaoqikong Ancient Bridge: Built in the 15th year of the Daoguang period in the Qing Dynasty, this iconic bridge features classic architecture, crystal-clear water below, and tree-lined banks rich in historical charm.

• 68-Level Waterfall: Within less than 2km of river course, 68 diverse waterfalls create a spectacular stepped cascade, one of the area's highlight attractions.

• Laya Waterfall: The water plunges from above, spraying silver-like droplets, allowing visitors to experience its magnificent power and cooling mist up close.

Food Recommendations

• Sour Fish Soup: A Guizhou specialty with tender fish in sour broth, rich and appetizing.

• Douhua Grilled Fish: Crispy grilled fish served with soft tofu, uniquely prepared to absorb the seasonings' flavors.

• Libo Rice Cakes: Local snack with a crispy texture, can be eaten plain or with chili powder for extra flavor.
