If you want to get a bird's-eye view of Lijiang Ancient Town, the best place is to climb up to the Wangu Tower on Lion Mountain. It costs 35 RMB to enter, and when you climb up to the 5-story Wangu Tower, you can have a panoramic view of the entire quaint city with gray tiles and take beautiful panoramic photos.

Wangugu Tower is a loft with flying eaves and upturned corners. It has a total of 13 upturned corners, which symbolize the thirteen peaks of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The building is decorated with 2,300 auspicious patterns such as stars and the moon, symbolizing the 23 ethnic groups in Lijiang.

There are a total of 9,999 dragon decorative carvings, and if you add one dragon to the caisson on the roof, it will become a magnificent sight of thousands of dragons that will last forever. The Wangu Tower is 33 meters high, symbolizing the 330,000 people of Lijiang, which is full of connotation.

Although it is located on a high ground, it is not remote. You can go up the steps along the small path of Sifang Street and pass the observation deck to reach the Wangu Tower. You can also enter from the back of the Mu Mansion, which is quite convenient.
