Day1: Explore Baisha and Shuhe Old Town

Baisha Old Town ➡️ Shuhe Old Town ➡️ Heilongtan Park

Baisha Old Town was the original capital of the Naxi Kingdom. You can visit the Baisha Murals and enjoy the authentic feel of the area. You can take a Didi to Baisha Old Town and then walk to Shuhe Old Town (30 mins) or take another Didi (10 min-15mins).

Shuhe Old Town has beautiful canals where you can enjoy canalside views while sipping coffee. You can also enjoy horse rides up the mountains near it.

Lastly, you can take another Didi to end the day catching the sunset in Heilongtan (Black Dragon Pool) Park. A free park with absolutely beautiful views of the mountain and a mirror-like pool

Day2: Climb Jade Dragon Snow Mountain

Pre-book a tour to travel to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain for easy access.

My recommended route for those who do not want to go up that high is Spruce Meadow ➡️ Blue Moon Valley ➡️ Impression Lijiang

Extremely worth it with stunning views. The show was also impressive to see with the amazing sight of the mountains as a natural backdrop.

Day3: Stroll Lijiang Old Town

End your trip with a wonderful, chill day at Lijiang Old Town. There are a lot of souvenir shops in the old town as well as wonderful cafés where you can people watch. You can also choose to dress up in traditional wear and get your photos done. But, don't forget to see the hotspots such as the Ancient Water Wheel and make the climb to Wangulou and get an amazing panoramic view of Lijiang. I recommend heading there near sunset to get amazing views!

📌 Tips
Pick an accomodation outside the old town if you don't want to drag your luggage across cobbled streets.
Don't go up Jade Dragon Snow Mountain right away! Take a day or two to acclimatize yourself with Lijiang's high altitude!
Always check the weather report! Lijiang's weather can be unpredictable and change rapidly!
