New Year decorations everywhere

In Lijiang Ancient Town every house, every shop was dressed up for the celebration of the Chinese New Year.

Door gods are painted or sticked to the gates, red lampions and red decorations everywhere.

Strolling on the streets will make you feel pretty festive with all decorations in place.

Compared to Dali Old Town, the streets here are much more narrower. And the water element seems to be very present. There are several bridges over the two streams flowing in the city. In Lijiang I did not see the pine branches next to the doors or the huge insence sticks in front of the door.
