Xi'an Surroundings | The Most Beautiful Autumn Self-Driving Route in Liuba, Hanzhong

It's that most colorful and splendid season of the year again. If you don't come to Liuba, Hanzhong, Shaanxi, you won't know how beautiful autumn in the Qinling Mountains is‼️

Liuba Old Street - Taiziling - Shizigou Pasture - Lover's Valley - Zhang Liang Temple - Gaojiang Road - Four-Thousand-Year Ginkgo Trees
Because we were traveling with a baby 👶🏻, we didn't rush. Starting from Xi'an, we took two and a half days to complete the whole trip (we didn't go to Zibai Mountain). Taiziling and Gaojiang Road are must-visits. You can stop anytime along the self-driving route to enjoy the scenery and take photos (⚠️ The roads are narrow, so be sure to pull over to the side and not block traffic). We went a bit early, so there weren't many red leaves yet, and the four-thousand-year-old ginkgo trees were still lush green 🤦🏻‍♀️. I suggest coming one or two weeks later (‼️ usually about ten days after the Frost's Descent solar term).
✅Many people don't know where Gaojiang Road is because it can't be found by searching directly on the map 🔍. I also did a lot of research to figure it out.
(‼️Key point) Gaojiang Road is the abbreviation for Shaanxi's most beautiful rural road. It starts in the west at Gaoqiaopu, Baoji Feng County, and ends in the east at Jiangxiying, Liuba County, Hanzhong. The road is 38 kilometers long, with overlapping mountains, pastoral scenery, and ginkgo forests along the way. It's great for both self-driving and cycling 💯.
⚠️Notes:
1️⃣ There is a big temperature difference between morning and evening, so prepare both thick and thin clothes. UV rays are strong, so be sure to use sun protection.
2️⃣ Accommodation is recommended in Shizigou or on Gaojiang Road 🉑 to take your time enjoying the scenery, but the downside is that these areas are quite remote, and the farmhouse meals are average (sometimes you can't even buy instant noodles).
3️⃣ There are many mosquitoes, especially if you have a baby 👶🏻, be sure to bring mosquito repellent.
4️⃣ ‼️ Be sure to book accommodation in advance, as rooms are tight during the red leaf season 😰.
