Liupanshui, the Summer Retreat

My first summer getaway to Liupanshui was absolutely stunning! This summer, I finally found the perfect escape from the heat 🌬️ True to its title as "China's Cool City," Liupanshui boasts an average summer temperature of just 19°C—so cool you won't even need air conditioning while strolling around ❄️ Below is my refreshing 3-day, 2-night itinerary that guarantees both comfort and excitement!

🚶‍♀️Day 1: Slow Living in the City
Start your morning with a walk at Minghu Wetland Park, where the crystal-clear lake air is packed with negative ions! For lunch, don’t miss the local specialty—lamb rice noodles 🍜 Highly recommend "Aha Lamb Rice Noodles" (Address: Renmin Middle Road, Zhongshan District)—their broth is incredibly flavorful. In the afternoon, explore Zhongshan Ancient Town, where well-preserved architecture makes every photo a masterpiece 📸 For dinner, try "Old Fisherman Bean Hotpot" (Address: Huangtupo, Zhongshan District)—rich in bean aroma and only 30+ RMB per person!

🌄Day 2: Nature’s Wonders
After breakfast, drive to Yueshe National Forest Park, a natural "air-conditioned room" with over 90% forest coverage 🌲 Pack a light jacket! Lunch is available at the park’s restaurant. In the afternoon, head to Zangke River Scenic Area for a boat tour through karst landscapes—the emerald-green river needs no filter for photos! Return to the city for dinner at "Miao Sour Fish Soup" (Address: Shuangshui Avenue, Shuicheng District)—a tangy and spicy delight!

🚗Day 3: Ethnic Culture Immersion
Spend the morning at Yeyuhai International Tourism Resort, where Yi culture shines—rent a traditional Yi costume for photos 📷 Enjoy authentic Yi ham and buckwheat cakes for lunch. In the afternoon, visit Tiansheng Bridge, a 135-meter geological marvel that’ll leave you in awe! Before heading back, stock up on local specialties like tartary buckwheat tea and kiwis 🥝

🍽️ Must-Try Foods:
1. Lamb rice noodles (add mint leaves!)
2. Bean hotpot
3. Buckwheat griddle cakes
4. Sour fish soup
5. Tartary buckwheat pancakes

🛏️ Stay Tips:
Zhongshan District is ideal for its central location. I loved "Cool City Impression Hotel"—spacious rooms with breakfast included!

💡 Pro Tips:
1. Pack a light jacket—mornings and evenings are chilly.
2. Wear comfy shoes for mountainous scenic areas.
3. Sunscreen is a must—UV rays are strong.
4. Use Didi for taxis to avoid detours.
