Liyang is Nanjing's backyard, right?🤭
Liyang is super close to Nanjing, just a 50-min drive. It's got a great environment and tons of attractions. You've probably been to famous spots like Tianmu Lake and Nanshan Bamboo Sea, but today I'm recommending a less-traveled, nature-focused itinerary.
❤️Route: Drive from Nanjing➡Highway No. 1➡Jinglin Chan Temple➡Hiking Trail
This route is seriously beautiful, and there are so few people. You can totally relax and enjoy nature's gifts.
▪Highway No. 1
The first tri-color rainbow🌈 highway started in Liyang. The scenery along the way is gorgeous: blue skies, white clouds, green lakes, and fields of pink marguerites. Every photo is a masterpiece. Run, spread your arms, and feel the wind in your hair!🤭
▪Jinglin Chan Temple
A hidden gem of a temple. I happened to visit during a ceremony – it was so lively!
Red pillars, weathered yellow walls – the temple's design and color scheme are ingenious. The dappled shadows of trees and sunlight are incredibly beautiful. And I hear Jinglin Chan Temple is especially effective for praying for wealth, so I gave it a try🤭
▪Liyang Fitness Hiking Trail
This trail winds through four peaks of Caoshan Mountain. Along the way, you'll see reservoirs, waterfalls, meadows, and ancient villages. It's perfect for camping, hiking, climbing, and even foraging for pecans and mushrooms. Great for team building and family fun.
⚠️⚠️⚠️Important Notes
1⃣Treat a trip to Liyang like a spring outing – it's so close! There are also many beautiful homestays if you want to stay overnight. Our Jiangsu resort destination is just as good as Anji.
2⃣Liyang has amazing food. Tianmu Lake fish head, braised and in soups, is delicious. Liyang white celery, stir-fried with soy sauce, has a unique aroma. There are also chestnuts🌰, Liyang white tea, and fantastic farmhouse cuisine😋
