Liyang No. 1 Highway

Liyang No. 1 Highway is a scenic road in Liyang, Jiangsu Province, China. It runs from Changzhou to Liyang, and is paved with black asphalt. The center line is marked with red, yellow, and blue, creating a unique rainbow road.

Liyang No. 1 Highway has created a "big tourism" pattern of "one road, one scene, one road, one feature," promoting the development of all-for-one tourism and the prosperity of Liyang's tourism industry. It has also promoted the construction of Liyang's national key rural tourism villages (towns), provincial key rural tourism villages, and provincial characteristic rural villages, enhancing Liyang's tourism brand image and reputation.
The construction of Liyang No. 1 Highway has driven the economic development of rural areas along the route, activating the "tourism cells" of the city's rural areas. Many small villages that were previously unknown have now become popular tourist destinations. Villagers have opened local restaurants, farm stays, and picking gardens, creating jobs and increasing income. The highway has become a happy corridor that benefits the people, with more than 100,000 farmers in the surrounding area seeing an annual income increase of over CNY 10,000.
