Liyang Jiangu Wyndham Grand Hotel & Spa, meticulously crafted over five years by Dr. Zha Xiang, revives Tang Dynasty hot spring traditions with its core concept of "Tang-style Thermal Retreat."
The 77 guestrooms are cantilevered along mountain streams, each featuring in-room pH8.6 metasilicic acid hot springs and hand-built Yixing purple clay bathtubs. The central bath hall replicates the white marble pool from Famen Temple's underground palace, with a dome adorned by 30,000 glazed Tang-style floral pattern tiles.
Dr. Zha's innovative "Bamboo Sea Breathing Curtain Wall" automatically adjusts bamboo louvers to regulate indoor microclimates. The spa offers "Tea Sensory Journey" treatments combining Liyang white tea steam with copper gua sha. The hotel recycles 120 tons of greywater daily for bamboo forest irrigation and received Forbes Travel Guide's Five-Star certification in 2024.
