London | Brilliant restaurant to try in London

Last time I went to Firebird with a friend, and it truly lives up to the saying “a hidden gem is worth seeking out”!

The restaurant itself is a little dim, but the lighting on the tables is perfect for taking photos.

FocacciaThe bread was absolutely delicious—crispy on the outside yet soft and fluffy inside.

Melon and Prosciutto
The melon paired with Italian ham was refreshing and light, with the flavors balancing perfectly. Such a great choice for a starter!

Truffle Halloumi
This was such a pleasant surprise. Since it’s a firm cheese, it didn’t have an overpowering cheesy taste. The peach garnish made it even more refreshing and tasty.

Sirloin (45-day dry-aged)
The steak was incredible! The edges were fatty and juicy, but so flavorful. The beef itself had a wonderful charred aroma from the grill—wood fire really makes a difference! We also ordered a side salad, which was just as good.

Lamb Skewers
Quite different from the Chinese style—these had a slightly teriyaki-like flavor with no gaminess at all. The spring onions made them extra fragrant.

We also tried some cocktails, which were excellent, and the white wine was nice too.

Dessert: Semifreddo
The grapefruit on top added a refreshing touch, while the chocolate sauce at the base was sweet but not heavy. The balance of sweet and tangy was just right!

💷 Average spend: £70+ per person
