Exploring the ancient town of Longquan with fewer people and beautiful scenery~ Yuandi Village

Yuandi Village is such a great spot for photos! This mini version of a tulou hidden in Longquan makes me feel like I’ve instantly traveled to Fujian ❤️

I came here for the Yicang granary, but I didn’t expect the whole village to be so photogenic it made me want to cry! This Qing Dynasty ancient village is very well preserved, with blue bricks and black tiles against the blue sky and white clouds, every shot looks like a traditional Chinese style masterpiece. The best part is there aren’t many people!! No need to compete with tourists for the perfect shot~

🌟 Photo check-in spots:
1️⃣ Yicang granary: a must-shoot centerpiece! The mini tulou shape is so unique, I recommend using a wide-angle lens and shooting from below.
2️⃣ Rammed earth walls: the weathered walls come with a natural vintage filter.
3️⃣ Ancient well: you can capture reflections that are very artistic.
4️⃣ Old house door frames: natural framing for perfect composition.

📸 Photo tips:
- Wear light colors or traditional Chinese style outfits.
- The light is softest between 3-5 PM.
- Find some foreground elements to add depth.

⏰ Practical info:
📍 Address: Yuandi Village, Longquan City, Lishui
🎫 Admission: Free
🚗 Transportation: Self-driving recommended, about 4 hours from Hangzhou

The whole village isn’t very big, you can explore it in 2 hours. You can combine it with a visit to the nearby celadon town for a day trip~ When you get tired, be sure to try the local yellow rice cake and native chicken stew, they’re incredibly delicious!
