You can see polar bears for less than 20,000 yuan? Save this Svalbard guide!

I thought going to the Arctic would be expensive, but I didn’t expect it would only cost $17,000 in Svalbard! The following is a four-day, three-night travel guide👇College students, please check it out

Day 1: Land in Longyearbyen City Walk

→ Free entry to the local church
Write down your name and check in
→ Go to the Husky Cafe
Chill with the Husky for a day
The average consumption is about HKD100-200

→ Visit the Polar Museum
See different polar animal museums

Cost: 90 NOK

Day 2: Visit Mine No. 3 and experience a day as a miner

Put on a miner's uniform and helmet
Learn about the history of the mine and experience five minutes of silence and darkness
Listen to the guide explain the miners' daily life and watch the jam from 1996 up close💰
Take a bag of coal mine as a souvenir when you leave
Cost: HKD 735

After the tour, visit the boutiques in the city center, check in postcards from the Arctic, and take photos with the memorial sculptures

Day 3: Polar Bear Tour

Take a boat to learn about the ecology and culture of Svalbard. Go out on the deck to observe polar animals. If you are lucky, you may encounter polar bears! However, due to the protection policy, no activities chasing polar bears are allowed in the local area, and you must keep your distance from polar bears. So friends who want to see polar bears, remember to go out to sea for a few more days and bring cameras and binoculars. The tour guide said that the probability of encountering polar bears at one or two o'clock in the afternoon is higher~
Finally, before the end, blowing the wind on the Arctic Ocean, taking a sip of hot wild berry juice, and biting a fragrant cinnamon roll, the most pleasant time is this moment.
Cost: HKD2600

Day 4: Half-day tour of Svalbard, visit the doomsday cellar

Get on an off-road vehicle in front of the hotel and set off for the so-called doomsday granary-Svalbard Global Seed Vault
Passing by the husky farm, duck farm, No. 7 mine, polar bear signs, etc., get off the car and check in at any time, leaving your mark at 78 degrees north latitude.
Finally arrived at the seed bank, witnessed the real version of Noah's Ark
Expense: HKD 875
Meals:
Two meals a day
The hotel provides breakfast
Dinner is bought at the supermarket on the way back (there are also many cooked foods)
200 HKD per person
Accommodation: Gjestehuset 102
300-450 HKD per person per night
Round-trip airfare from Hong Kong: 7950 HKD
Souvenir purchase: 1500 HKD
Transportation: Most attractions in Svalbard can be reached on foot (taxi needs to be booked in advance on the official website), and group activities will also pick you up in front of the hotel, so there is almost no transportation cost. The only transportation is the shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel, which costs about 100-200 NOK per person. The hotel has posted the arrival time of the bus.

Total consumption: about 17,000HKD

Friends who feel that the itinerary is too rushed can reserve two more days to visit the "ghost town" Pyramiden and Barentsburg (note that you can only go ashore from mid-June to mid-August in summer)

Finally, I suggest that you go to Svalbard in the summer, where you can observe unique marine life! It is also easier to adapt to the temperature (the temperature in June is almost between -1 and 3 degrees Celsius)

Warm reminder: All accommodations in Svalbard require you to take off your shoes to enter, so remember to bring your own slippers~
