It feels like there are new facilities under construction, and I hope it will be more fun in the future

First, an important note: Please note that the mummy lockers are charged! And please note that they cannot be used for more than two hours! There's no signage or notice about this rule on site! (Hence, one star lost.)

Only small lockers are free, but they're incredibly small! About the size of a waist bag, only soft backpacks like those used for hiking can fit into them; regular backpacks (with hard back panels) would be difficult to fit! The large lockers cost $5! Because I repeated the rides multiple times and returned after more than two hours, even the small lockers, which were originally free, were charged $5, and the large lockers were charged another $5! I reported this to the staff and told them I didn't go on other rides or eat (I even locked my Mario Mushroom Bowl in the locker after finishing it!). It seems like you can't get your stuff back unless you pay.

The lockers at "Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey" are the same! Because the mummy overcharged me $10, I'm not willing to pay the extra locker fee to continue the ride (after all, I've already been there in Japan, and there's no locker fee there!).
So, I recommend not bringing too big bags, as the attractions themselves can be stored in front of your feet or in the storage pockets. (I later discovered while trying other attractions that I didn't need to pay the extra $5 for my bag; the storage pockets in front of the attractions would have fit my bag!)

Also, a little-known fact I don't find online: If you're taking public transportation, after exiting the metro station, you'll need to cross the street (using the overpass) to see the Universal Studios shuttle bus! Taking the shuttle into the park is quite fun and a bit of a ceremonial experience, and you don't have to pay extra for parking!
Also, Universal Studios Hollywood offers free entry and exit! So if you don't like the food inside the park, you can get a stamp to eat out and then return to continue your adventure! The stamp is also pretty cool. It's an invisible stamp that needs to be placed on your arm (not the back of your hand). I got it but never got it back 😂, so I don't know what it's like when I re-enter the park (I guess you need a money detector to see the stamp).

We happened to catch a buy-one-day-get-one-free promotion. The first day was a Friday, and the longest line only lasted 30 minutes. If you can get a single-passenger lane, there's almost no wait! Although the hours that day were from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, I finished almost all the rides and was able to queue up again for more! And if you entered the park after 8:00 AM (early admission is available), you could get Mario in directly without having to draw a ticket! The second day was a Saturday, and the app showed times ranging from 40 to 120 minutes. Luckily, I had already enjoyed most of the rides the day before, so I was able to sleep in and enter at 11:00 AM to catch up on the rides I didn't complete the day before. I'm not sure which wait times are typical, but the first day's wait times were definitely different from those in Japan.
It was a shame the Transformers ride was under maintenance. Next time I come, I'll go during Halloween! Otherwise, aside from the advantage of not having to wait in line for the rides, the other ride experiences are still better in Japan!
Recommended Rides:
• Studio Tour: I've seen it recommended in every travelogue, and I didn't understand why at first, but after trying it once, it was so much fun! I'm even going to come back for a second time! And it's only available at Universal Studios Hollywood, so I highly recommend it!
• Jurassic World: The Ride: I've always seen it at Universal Studios Japan, but the Japanese version always says closed, so I had to try it at the Hollywood one! The experience and ride design are perfect! Be sure to check for single-passenger lanes; if so, you can go an extra time. It's so much fun!
• Water World: Perhaps because I'm less familiar with the Japanese language than Universal Studios Japan, the English version of Water World is even more captivating (or is it because I'm in Hollywood? I always feel like hearing the English narration is so cinematic 🤣). The plot is also slightly different from the Japanese version, so don't think you've seen it in Japan and skip it! The experiences are completely different! Even the atmosphere from the audience is completely different!
• The Simpsons Ride: Another ride only found in Hollywood. I heard it's being dismantled, but if you can make it, you absolutely have to give it a try.
• Revenge of the Mummy: The ride itself isn't particularly scary, but the design is quite enjoyable. The ride itself is quite short, which is why some people say the lines are long, but the ride only takes less than two or three minutes. You can queue for single-passenger access, which makes it much faster, so I went back a few times!
• Harry Potter Land: If you buy a wand, there are many more places to cast spells here than in Japan! My friend who was with me was a Muggle in Japan, but in Hollywood, he was transformed into a magician 🤣
• Nintendo Land: If you have a wristband, the mini-games are quite different from the ones in Japan! You can try them if you have time, but there's no Tonkatsu here. ><
Recommended Food:
• The turkey legs are really huge, but my friend and I both think the ones at Disneyland in California are better. 😅 The skin at Universal Studios is a bit dry, while the skin at Disneyland is more tender and the meat is juicier. But it comes with fries, just fries! 😂 $19.74 including tax
• You can take the mushroom bowl of mushroom soup from Nintendo World home! You can't take the one from Universal Studios Japan, so if you like cute tableware, you should definitely get one! I was a little disappointed when I got it, though. The mushroom bowl itself is plastic, but come to think of it, you can't get a ceramic bowl for that price! 😅 $21.94 including tax (and it comes with a question mark box to take home!). If you want to collect other forks, you can order other dishes like burgers. There are also forks shaped like Mario hats and finish line flags to take home as souvenirs!
