Laojun Mountain Ticket Guide
⚠️ Tips 1. You must join a tour group when you come to Laojun Mountain. It is the most cost-effective to join a tour group! The ticket + the round-trip bus from Luoyang to Laojun Mountain is only 125 yuan. If you go by yourself, the ticket is 100 yuan, and the round-trip bus from Luoyang to Laojun Mountain is more than 100 yuan.
⚠️Strategy 2: There are two first-level cableways, namely the Yunjing Cableway and the Zhongling Cableway. Generally, you will take the one that is open. I advise you to take the first-level cableway. Otherwise, you will have to climb the winding mountain road for about 5 hours one way, and your time will be wasted on the road without much scenery.
⚠️ Tip 3: The second-level cableway is generally not taken. If you don’t take it to Zhongtianmen, remember to take the wooden ladder on the right, which will be a little slower!
🏞️Mountain climbing route:
🌷Visitor Center → Ticket Gate
1-2km, about 10 minutes walk, 5 yuan for one way by Jingjiao bus
🌷Ticket gate → First-level ropeway entrance
The mountain road is 17km and takes about 4 hours to walk.
First-level cableway round trip 130, 10 minutes
🌷Zhongtianmen→Xianjing Tunnel
About 60 minutes walk, 80 yuan for round trip on the second level, 8 minutes
🌷 Fairyland Tunnel → Nantianmen
It takes about 1.5 hours to walk, and you can take the elevator in the middle.
Nantianmen→Jinding
66 steps, about 5 minutes walk
