Chongdugou Valley in Luanchuan: A Refreshing Summer Escape｜Luoyang Day Trip

Finally made it! A cool and oxygen-rich day trip to Chongdugou Valley🍉 - super photogenic!

📍: Chongdugou Scenic Area
☕️: Less than 2 hours drive from Ruilai Yue Hotel Luoyang (near Luoyang Railway Station Metro)
🎫: ¥120 (self-driving allowed into scenic area, most convenient to park at Bodhi Tree area)
🚠: ¥60 one-way for Yunding Cable Car (from Jinji River to Dicul River - the only one I took)
🚌: ¥12 (Dicul River Scenic Area to Central Plaza), ¥8 (Central Plaza to Bodhi Tree parking area)
🗺️: Get a free guide brochure at ticket office - highly recommended! I basically followed the triangular route marked on it.
The area has two main sections: West Gully (Dicul River) and South Gully (Jinji River), forming a "Y" shape.

I started at Jinji River section (parked at 🅿️Bodhi Tree area). The hiking trail features countless waterfalls of various sizes - quite spectacular! Maximum photo potential! Though summer is hot, you can play in water almost everywhere along the way - refreshingly cool (almost cold)! Bring sandals! Perfect for family fun🔫💦

Spent about 3.5 hours hiking and photographing in Jinji River section before taking the 15-minute Yunding Cable Car (¥60) to Dicul River section. Main highlights there: Colorful Lotus Pond and Water Curtain Fairy Palace Waterfall. After exploring, took the ¥12 shuttle to Central Plaza.

The ¥8 shuttle from Central Plaza to Bodhi Tree parking leaves early - I missed it and had to walk 1.2km back to my car... exhausting🥹

But overall an absolutely joyful day! Cool mountain air and oxygen therapy🥒
