Morning Alms-Giving in Luang Prabang

If you visit Luang Prabang and don’t wake up early for the morning alms-giving, it’s like you haven’t truly been there!
This is a must-do activity when you’re in Luang Prabang. You’ll need to wake up around 5-6 AM to line up for the alms-giving ceremony. Typically, sticky rice and snacks are offered to the monks. You don’t need to prepare anything in advance as there are vendors near the temples selling these items, making it very convenient. For photography enthusiasts, dressing up nicely for the occasion is a great idea.
Additionally, I highly recommend the bakery Le Benneton for their delicious croissants and pastries. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy the morning view and atmosphere.
