Wanning City is located on the southeastern coast of Hainan Island, bordering the South China Sea to the east, Qiongzhong County to the west, Lingshui County to the southeast, and Qionghai City to the north. It is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Hainan Province, China. Awarded the title of "Hometown of Betel Nut" by the State Forestry Administration, Wanning is the primary betel nut producing area on Hainan Island and is known as "Wanning Betel Nuts Half of Hainan."

This uninhabited island is largely undeveloped, boasting crystal-clear waters teeming with starfish, sea cucumbers, and living coral. Shimei Bay
Composed of two crescent-shaped bays, Shimei Bay boasts a six-kilometer-long turquoise sea and silvery beach, framed by gently sloping hills covered in lush vegetation. Hailed by experts from the World Tourism Organization as Hainan's most beautiful remaining undeveloped bay, it's also a prime spot for watching the sunset. Having been targeted by developers, a sign at the entrance reads, "Shimei Bay is temporarily open to the public free of charge." Come and enjoy this tranquil sea before it becomes too crowded.
Xinglong Tropical Botanical Garden
Covering 600 mu (approximately 1,000 acres), the botanical garden features over 2,300 plant species divided into six major exhibition areas. With a wide variety of plant species, stepping into the garden is like opening an encyclopedia of tropical plants.
The botanical garden is a delightful place, with lush greenery, subtle fruity aromas, and the fresh Hainan air, making for a pleasant stroll. At the park's rest and reception area, you can enjoy free tastings of the park's own Xinglong coffee, cocoa drinks, and various teas, such as bitter melon tea and glutinous rice tea.
Sun Moon Bay
Nestled between mountains and water, the bay is crescent-shaped, surrounded by mountains to the north and bordered by the South China Sea to the south. A renowned surfing destination, its waves crashing against boulders create a spectacular spectacle. The pleasant climate, with spring-like weather year-round, and the scenic beauty are truly captivating. Surfing is ideal year-round, with waves as high as two meters most common from October to February.
