[Hill of Phousi, Luang Prabang, Laos] 360-degree spectacular view! Overlooking Luang Prabang

Phousi Hill is a small hill that stands in the middle of the city of Luang Prabang.

This place is known for its panoramic view of the confluence of the Mekong River and the Khan River, and is a popular spot for many travelers, especially at sunset.

👀Sightseeing points✨

⛰️Worth the climb! Golden pagoda and panoramic view

At the top, the golden pagoda "That Chomsi" stands quietly, and from its surroundings, a 360-degree view of the cityscape of Luang Prabang, the mountains, and the flowing river spreads out.

There are about 300 steps, but along the way, there are Buddha statues, small shrines, and flower-filled spots, and the journey up is exciting, like a little mini-pilgrimage.

📸We recommend sunset time!

The most popular time is in the evening before sunset.

As the sky turns from orange to purple and the sun sinks behind the mountain, you can feel the tranquility and majesty that envelops the entire city of Luang Prabang✨
This is a photogenic spot📷 that is also recommended for photography lovers!
I also visited in the evening, but there were already many tourists, so if you want to take photos in a good spot, it is better to visit early, such as an hour before sunset.

Basic information📝
📍Access: Climb from the front steps of the National Museum in the center of Luang Prabang
🕐 Time required: Approximately 15 to 20 minutes to climb
💰 Entrance fee: 30,000 kip
👟 Note: There are many stairs, so it is recommended to wear comfortable shoes and bring water◎

Phou Si Hill is a sacred view point where you can see the tranquility and beauty of Luang Prabang!
After a short climb, a spectacular sunset and a peaceful time await you.
If you come to Luang Prabang, be sure to climb this hill at least once and experience a moment where your heart is connected to the sky, the town, and the city.
