📍Lushan, this summer resort hailed as the "Cultural Sacred Mountain," is quietly waiting for your arrival. It allows you to fully immerse yourself in its poetry and coolness.
Itinerary: National Day October 1st-2nd, two days
Day 1: First Encounter with Lushan · Poetic and Picturesque West Route
Morning: Arrive at the cable car lower station at Lushan West Gate, take the cable car up the mountain, then transfer to a sightseeing bus to Guling Town. Experience firsthand the misty illusion described by Su Shi in "Not recognizing the true face of Lushan," and feel the meaning of "Only because I am in this mountain."
Longhao Hotel (built in 1922 as the American School) provides private transfer to the hotel to drop off your luggage.
Noon: Find an authentic restaurant on Guling Street to taste Lushan’s "Three Stones" (stone chicken, stone fish, stone ear fungus), letting the wild mountain flavors awaken your taste buds.
Afternoon: Start the essence tour of the West Route.
Hike from the hotel to the old site of the Lushan Conference to feel the solemnity of history; take a sightseeing bus to Lulin Lake, whose waters are like jade embedded in the valley, peaceful and beautiful; hike past the Three Treasures Tree to the Lushan Hydropower Station, all downhill and easy, surrounded by dense forest and beautiful scenery; take a sightseeing bus to Fairy Cave, shrouded in mist, imagining the legend of Lü Dongbin cultivating Taoism here; continue hiking to Ruqin Lake, stroll to Huajing Path, and experience the surprise of "Endless spring cannot be found, not knowing it has turned here"; then explore Jinxiu Valley, searching for the "infinite scenery" in Chairman Mao’s poem along the dangerous peaks and cliffs.
Evening: After dinner at the Xiaogongyuan Food City on Guling Main Street, take a walk in Banyue Park, watch the sunset dye the sea of clouds golden red, and see the town’s lights come on like stars falling to earth.
Night: Stay overnight in Guling, feel the cool mountain breeze, and sleep peacefully.
Day 2: Waterfall Wonder · Cultural East Route
Morning: Challenge the East Route to visit Sandiequan Waterfall, known as "Lushan’s Number One Wonder." "If you haven’t been to Sandiequan, you’re not a true Lushan visitor." Nearly 3,000 steps round trip test your stamina, but when the three-tiered waterfall rushes down with majestic force, you’ll feel all the effort was worth it.
Noon: Have a simple energy boost with grilled sausage and instant noodles at the small shop below Sandiequan.
Afternoon: Continue hiking to the East Gate, then take a sightseeing bus to the Lushan Scenic Area bus station, and take a Didi ride to the All Season Hotel.

Travel Tips 📝
Transportation: We drove for 3 hours from Wuhan on the night of the 30th, with smooth traffic and no congestion. We parked the car at the All Season Hotel for two days.
If taking the high-speed train, it’s recommended to arrive at Jiujiang Station, then transfer by bus or taxi to the Lushan North Gate Transfer Center.
Accommodation: We chose the All Season Hotel, which has many hotels and homestays inside, with convenient dining and shopping.
Tickets: Lushan entrance ticket, sightseeing bus ticket (must buy), Sandiequan cable car (optional) should be checked in advance.
Gear: A pair of comfortable hiking shoes is essential! Also bring a light jacket for temperature differences on the mountain and rain gear for unpredictable weather. Mosquito repellent is a must!
Two days are enough to make you fall in love with this mountain.
Lushan’s misty rain awaits your painting; Lushan’s stories await your listening.
