Introducing Beian Bridge

Beian Bridge was built in 1939. It is located at the junction of Heping District and Hebei District. It is a cross-river bridge connecting Shengli Road in Hebei District and Fu'an Street in Heping District of Tianjin.

The sculptures at the head of Beian Bridge adopt Western classical expression forms and absorb Chinese traditions. The Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermillion Bird and Black Tortoise symbolize peace in the four directions of east, south, west and north. The statues on the bridge piers are bronze with coiled dragons on the front. On the base of the bridge railings are four female musicians with different dancing postures, shining with gold. Their shapes are noble and elegant, and they hold different musical instruments in their hands, including pipa, sheng and flute.

The renovated Beian Bridge is a perfect blend of classic and modern, and with its unique style, it has become another highlight on the Haihe River. Standing on the bridge, you can overlook the beautiful scenery of the Haihe River and the ancient buildings on both sides, making it a great place for photos.
