Who would have thought! Staying at this homestay in Lushan, waking up every day feels like stepping into a secret sea of clouds from a xianxia drama! Open the door to rolling waves of clouds, and at night you can lie down and watch the starry sky. This Lushan trip is just too, too, too worth it!
🌄 Homestay Environment: Taking the Sea of Clouds as a Daily Backdrop
The homestay is tucked halfway up the mountain in Guling Town, with an unbeatable sea of clouds view right outside the window. Waking up at dawn to the soft light of the sea of clouds, watching the clouds roll and turn orange-pink at dusk—this kind of scene is an everyday thing here!
The rooms are designed in a natural wood style, paired with an extra-large viewing balcony. Lying back in the rattan chair, you see endless green mountains and rolling clouds, as if living in a paradise above the clouds🍃. At night, the small lights on the balcony turn on, framing the starry sky and sea of clouds together—every snap is a mood-filled masterpiece!
🍳 Warm Service: As Friendly as Coming Home
The owner couple are genuine Lushan locals, warm and welcoming like family! Every morning they prepare freshly made Lushan specialty breakfast—multigrain porridge, handmade steamed buns with local pickles—eat well and start the day full of energy~
They also thoughtfully recommend off-the-beaten-path viewing spots to avoid crowds, watch the sea of clouds, and take beautiful photos. This local insider tip is just amazing!
🏘️ Nearby Activities: Slow Down in the Cloud Town
- Watch the Sea of Clouds: A 10-minute walk from the homestay leads to an excellent cloud viewing spot. It’s best to go between 5-7 AM when the sea of clouds is most spectacular.
- Explore Guling Town: A European-style town with colorful houses, old churches, and tree-lined streets. Just wandering around feels like a vacation in a European town.
- Lushan Attractions: Visiting Wulao Peak and Sandie Spring is very convenient. The owner can help plan your route, saving you time and effort.
🔖 Check-in Tips
- Communicate your arrival time with the owner in advance; they will arrange vehicle transfers (the winding mountain roads in Lushan make this super thoughtful!)
- For those wanting to photograph the sea of clouds, it’s best to choose a sunny day after the rainy season when the chance of clouds is very high!
- The homestay has limited rooms, so be sure to book early~
I stayed here for three days, healed every day by Lushan’s sea of clouds and the homestay’s warmth. If you’re looking for a secluded yet lively corner above the clouds, this homestay is definitely worth a try!
